No holds barred
While driving I noticed a pair of larks squabbling in the road ahead. They were so preoccupied with their territorial battle that they didn't notice me stop and lie on the sand in order to reduce my depth of field. Their fight meant they were constantly changing position, and were frequently hidden from view by the undulations in the road. After numerous failed photographs, the pair finally came into full view allowing me to capture this quite vicious attacking move, which proved to be the final blow. The defeated bird quickly made his escape leaving the victor to enjoy his newly won territory.
