"Excellent instruction. I leave with a new vision of what I want to achieve in my own photography."

        Why Choose a Specialist

           Photographic Safari ?

If you want to take your photography to the next level, then you can't beat some intensive hands-on tuition in the field. Whether you are a beginner with your first DSLR or a seasoned hobbyist who is ready to emulate your award-winning idols, safaris designed for photographers ensure you spend more time at the sightings that matter so you get the shot.

The benefit of learning in the field is that you can practice what you have learnt straight away - our classroom is the African wilderness with subjects around every corner.

"Truly memorable trip of a lifetime.....could not find any faults...."

"Your ability to talk to all levels of photographers was amazing. You were creative, responsive to people’s needs…you pushed our skills to the next level.”

"You have inspired us to soar beyond our imagined limitations."

                    Why Choose Me ?

All my safaris cater for every level of photographer and are unique in having a professional photographer (me) as well as a local guide. Not only does this ensure you receive individual attention, it also means I can make sure we position ourselves in the best spot all the time, every time, and if you need more help, I can even hop in the back beside you, to make sure you are capturing the best image possible.

I have been making my living from photography in Africa for almost 15 years. This is my home. I have learned from experience where are the best places and best times of year to go to see the wildlife you want and take the pictures you want to take. From choosing the right country and national park before the trip to knowing where is the most attractive nearby tree or waterhole to enhance your sunset photo, I will make sure you are in the right place at the right time.

Unlike photographers based elsewhere, this also means that I am not guiding safaris to boost my own portfolio. I can go to the bush any time I want (and I frequently do), so it doesn't matter to me if I don't get any pictures. My sole purpose is to teach you and make sure you do get the pictures.

During a standard 10-day safari, we will cover the whole gamut of photographic skills from all the technical fundamentals to different lighting techniques, creative shutter speeds, landscapes, stars and much, much more. My goal is to share all my photographic secrets with you garnered from the many years I have spent in the field.

"You went far beyond teaching us about wildlife photography and your sense of hospitality is incredible....we've learned so much."

Private Safaris

From offering advice over your perfect itinerary to ensuring you get the best possible shot whilst on safari and teaching you everything I know along the way, this is about as close as you can get to guaranteeing the perfect safari of a lifetime and of course you will end up with some jaw-dropping images. Every aspect of the safari will be tailored to your every whim. This is an increasingly popular option for many of my past guests who want to travel to different places with me, and I now run multiple private safaris every year.
